This verse is a reminder of God’s character- and His unchanging, nature. His goodness isn’t dependant on our circumstances, it’s just who He is. His mercy doesn’t run out or expire, but is always there for us. In whatever season we are in, it is important to reflect on the goodness of God and remember that His love always remain- as well as his mercy, grace and goodness.

This verse reminds us to pause and remember that today is a divine gift- a new day from the LORD. No matter the day or season- celebration or challenge, today is a new day, with new mercies from the LORD. Rejoicing doesn’t mean ignoring the pain, but rather recognizing that God is in control and keeping your focus on Him despite your cirumstances. Gratitude becomes a daily posture and when we embrace each day as a gift, our focus remains on Him and His truth- that His love endures forever and that He will never leave us or forsake us.

This beautiful verse reminds us that the Lord is our strength and our shield—He is our protector. We are not meant to walk this journey of life alone, for we have an amazing God who is always with us. He stands beside us in the storm and meets us in every need. No matter the circumstances of life, or whatever storm you may face, you can rest assured that you are not alone. The love and goodness of God will carry you through every season.
Knowing this truth, the heart cannot help but rejoice. Praise rises naturally when we remember His faithfulness, and joy flows when we trust His presence. This verse beautifully reminds us that the LORD is our rock—our foundation, our refuge, our salvation. He is our ever‑present help in trouble and worthy of all praise. Jesus is the cornerstone, and through His sacrifice on the cross we have eternal life and reconciliation with the Father. From the very beginning, God had a plan to save His people. No matter the circumstances of life, God is good, and He saves. He loves His children and always provides a way. Today, let us give thanks for His steadfast love and saving grace.

Paul reminds the Corinthians that God blesses us so we can be a blessing to others. We serve an amazing God who faithfully supplies all our needs, and when we give from what He has given us, others are able to see the love of Christ reflected in our lives. Our generosity mirrors God’s heart, and this act of worship becomes a beautiful way to share the Gospel and lead others to give thanks to Him.

It’s amazing that we have such a loving God who is always with us. No matter the circumstances, no matter the difficult season, we have a God who has promised to always be present and deliver us from evil. In the previous verses, this is what David was praising about: You turned my waiting into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy. While we may have to endure suffering for a time, the LORD has promised to be with us through the storm and when keeping our focus on Him, we cannot help but remember His goodness and mercy and thus, sing praises to Him of His never-ending love and goodness.

This verse reminds us to take a moment, pause and give thanks for God’s goodness and all He has given us. Even if we are in a difficult season in our life, it’s important to recognize God’s hand in all we do have and recognize His blessings in our life. God is the same today as He was yesterday and will be tomorrow and into forever, as is His love for us and His goodness. God is unchanging and His goodness and love doesn’t change and we can rest in His peace and promise that His love will endure forever.

Psalm 62:5–6 is a beautiful reminder that God is our rock and our hope. In Him we find true rest, for He is always present and faithful. God is Omnipresent, Omniscient, and Omnipotent — He knows all, is always with us, and nothing is beyond His power. We are called to rest in Him, and what a wonderful rest it is: knowing that God sees, knows, and can do all things. He is never surprised by our circumstances, and His plan is perfect.

Reflection
Psalm 136 begins and ends with thanksgiving to the Lord for His unconditional love. Throughout the psalm, we see God’s acts of love in creation, deliverance, and provision. The Lord has always provided, has always been present in times of trouble, and will continue to be our strength. His love is never ending — His mercy endures forever. God is constant and never changing.

Reflection
Just as sheep depend on their shepherd to provide for their needs, the first verse reminds us that the LORD is our Shepherd. He is our provider and in Him we have all that we need. He cares for us and is always there for us. The second verse is a reminder that the LORD is our comforter, and He guides us when we are weary and in Him we find rest.

Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Psalm 100:3
Reflection
This is a beautiful verse to remind us of who our Shepherd is- the LORD. Just as a shepherd tends and cares for his sheep, our LORD watches over us and cares for us. God made us and is always there, providing for all our needs.
This verse reminds me of at least two other promises of God:
- Matthew 6:26- Here Jesus points out the birds of the air and how we are even more valuable than they are. Since God cares and provides for them, He will certainly care and provide for us.
- John 10:28- Here Jesus promises eternal security “No one will snatch them out of my hand” This verse promises the security we have in Christ Jesus, as He is our Shepherd, and will always guide us and care for us.

Lord, I thank You for being my Shepherd, and I rejoice that I belong to You. I thank You for Your promises of always providing for me and for the security that nothing can snatch me out of Your hand.
